Week 2 Update
Development:
Coding...Week 2 (4/9 - 4/15/2022)
On Tuesday, we focused on getting Lucy’s separate script for the “bad” petting reaction to work in tandem with Salem’s main script.
On Thursday, Lucy worked on getting the idle and petting reaction animations to function properly with the code.
Design:
Animations...Week 2 (4/9 - 4/15/2022)
This week, Lucy finished up the idle, “good” reaction, and “bad” reaction animations in Toon Boom Harmony.
Whitney began work on background effect animations.
Audio...Week 2 (4/9 - 4/15/2022)
Salem researched and assembled background music and sound effects. Here is the chosen main menu music, “Uh Oh!” by Sagan Hawkes.
Fabrication:
Prototype...Week 2 (4/9 - 4/15/2022)
Before moving forward, we wanted to make sure that Anna’s finished prototype from last week was able to function on conductive points with the Makey-Makey control device. We scribbled in two graphite circles on the back of the (now real) Digital Guy and attached the alligator clips to it. When we pressed onto the circles, they successfully sent signals for their corresponding keybindings.
Printing...Week 2 (4/9 - 4/15/2022)
Anna couldn’t be here for Thursday, so Whitney oversaw printing in the Fabrication Lab for a (slightly) bigger version of the Digital Guy. She finished printing some parts, and the rest would have to be done next week.
